How is the Boracay nightlife after the re-open? I'd like to go out and grab a beer after kiting....maybe bump into a girl
Nothing easier than that. In that respect the closure didn't change anything : )

Re: Safety releases for harnesses

I have no idea how to handle seat harnesses but for a waist harness I would envision a safety on the side of the body (where you'd put a gun). Something that I can rip upwards towards my armpit and that would then cause the whole waist harness to fall apart on that side. This would help both situati...

Re: Safety releases for harnesses

I've always thought that some kind of "pull tab" system to release it would be soooo convenient, and give an added safety. The trick would be to make it not release unless you wanted it to release. Once released, I don't think the remaining velcro would keep the harness on me while the kite was dea...

Re: Safety releases for harnesses

What I mean with safety release is something that I can activate such that the whole harness slips off my body. Together with whatever is attached/tangled to it.

Safety releases for harnesses

Safety releases for harnesses - why don't they exist? We've all seen the videos of deathlooping kites where the lines are tangled in the spreader hook and neither first release nor second release does a thing. Or when you're being dragged backwards and can't reach the control system's safety release...

Re: Cabrinha FX

3 strut c kite? wonder how many pulleys it has It has no pulleys. The bridle is very close to the leading edge. I tried this kite the other day and it really is an awesome kite. I knew when I went back to my Switchblade after testing the FX: my good old Switchie suddenly for the first time in four ...

Re: Cabrinha SB 2014 Bar Lengths

Yes, the Switchblades all use the same 1X bar. Adjust wide or narrow to your liking - I've been using the wide setting on 14m and 11m, and plan to use narrow setting on 8m. The 1XL bars are only for Contra model. That being said, I fly my 14m Switchblade on the 1XL bar (wide setting) and prefer it ...
