Re: Fly from Naish

I have ridden the FLY a lot. On a big board I can ride it upwind and powered in under 10 knots. Of course there is no way to prove this because there are some of you that will tear down any evidence I could produce. Here is one shot of me riding the Alaia and FLY in Hood River on an ultra light wind...

What board were you riding?
The Naish Alaia. It is a light wind board.

Re: Naish: Introducing The Fly

I have had a decent amount of time on the FLY and it is a great lightwind kite. I am 6'2" 170 and I can have fun in 8 knots. The photo shoot we did for this kite was less than 10 knots and I had no problem riding upwind making jibes and even relaunched it off the water after doing a drift launch. We...

Re: Ride - New Naish kite

That is what I like about it. I can ride a 6 when normally I would have to be on an 8. Stoked!

Re: Ride - New Naish kite

It handles them very well surprisingly enough. If you are are fully depowered and sheeted out it has some canopy noise but is completely stable and forgiving. I rode it in 35 to 40 in Hatteras and it rode like a champ. I am impressed with it. It also jumps really floaty for a 6.

Re: Ride - New Naish kite

I spent some time on the 6 meter Ride and a surf board this weekend in the Gorge. It was blowing 22-27. Most people were out on 8's and 10's. It had plenty of power, turned with power and speed, and had tons of lift for jumps. When riding swell it drifted very well with out stalling or getting ahead...

Re: New Naish kite Fly

Well the reviews on the beach from the Naish Nation tour were very positive on the FLY. It has a ton of low end, pretty light feel for a big kite, extremely light in the air, quicker than most in its category and relaunches easily in light winds. I hope that some of you that tested the kite on the t...

Re: Build your own Alaia!

Cool video. The Alaia's are awesome boards to ride. Whether you build it or buy it I suggest you put one in your quiver. They make lightwind riding a blast.

They are available under $300 at www.naishusa.com or your Naish Dealer.
