Review of Slingshot H4 foil - wake foiling

I think this will make a fun foil to kite with in the surf. Still playing with the AoA of the rear wing to get better front foot pressure but overall very happy with how the foil rode behind the boat. Turns better and rips almost as fast as the stock NF2 foil. At low speed I couldn't believe the tur...

Re: Short masts

Even 24" was tough in OBX at low tide for me (for a start to get out) - riding in was ok but you'll ground if you come to close. High tide 24" worked good. There's always ocean and Canadian Hole down there too for deep water.

Re: Slingshot H4

My interpretation of SS website: H1: "surf, sup, wave rider" (stock high wind windsurfer wing) (H5?H1<H2) H2: "larger wing, more lift, user friendly performance" (stock light wind windsurf wing) (H1<H2<H4) H3: "faster flying, higher performance" (no idea how big it is. Looks higher aspect-ratio) H4...

Re: Slingshot H4

I pulled the trigger today from Real... should be able to ride it on Friday behind the boat. This is the NF2 behind the boat at 18mph boat speed for comparison. Can't wait to try it with a kite in some surf.

Slingshot H4

Has anyone ridden or seen the H4 from SS in person? Thinking about one for surfing behind the boat, surfing in the ocean and kiting for lowered. I have the stock NF2 front wing / wakefoiler setup right now but curious if anyone has any thoughts or experiences with this foil.

Thanks!

ACL come back

What are folks experiencing for ACL comeback times? I've heard a couple of 4.5 - 5 month post opp stories but wondering if that's the normal or a little quick. My basic plan was: Post op 5 months: strapless Post op 7 months: straps Post op 9 months: back to boots Curious what other folks are doing. ...

Re: How to land in boots without hurting yourself

I laced my boots up so they are tight but loose enough so when I hit the board can pop off. Still have a ton of support but can eject when I need too. Also, get the board behind you and land on your belly and bend your legs up to keep the board out of the water if you can. You can pop up really easy...

Re: 2012 fuel back stalling

If you're still having trouble I'll pull my 2012 9M out and check the pigtail length - but I have zero issues with my 2012 9m stalling. Knot either the middle or furtherst away pigtail for the back lines and you're set. The 2012 is an awesome kite... feels a little smaller then the 2009 9M (my previ...

Re: Best boards for boots? - Cab Custom vs Best Profanity

I don't like the custom very much. I've owned the '09 and '10 in the 144 size and neither went upwind particularly well. However, the Slingshot Mayhem is an AMAZING boots boards board. It SCREAMS upwind with boots, does not face splash to bad in chop and is rideable in the chop. You have to be power...

Re: What parachute should I buy....

I've seen some really good vids of base jumping. Looks do-able for someone with experience kiteboarding. Just wondering what type of chute I should buy before trying my first base jump? and, Is it better to do a couple of parachute base jumps first before moving into the wingsuits? You'v...
