Re: 12m hyperlink or 11m chrono ultralight??

Ozone created the original Chrono as their race kite. Then it evolved into the R1 race kite and a new Chrono v2 was in created which was much more user friendly. Recently Ozone has announced a new Chrono v3. It would help in a topic like this if contributors would specify which Chrono they are talki...

Re: 12m hyperlink or 11m chrono ultralight??

I find my Chrono v2 kites easy to fly and I recommend them to anyone (except racers who would want the R1 race kite). Do not buy a used Chrono v1 as it was more of a race kite and less stable.
I have not flown a hyperlink.

Re: Tacking! More Power Scotty!!

Personally I found the foiling jibe easier to learn first.. not that it was easy. I still always have to remind myself to get my new back foot back close to the back foot strap. There are more things going on in the foiling tack than the foiling jibe and I still find it difficult to foil through my ...

Re: Can I use 2015-2017 Ozone Contact Water Control Bar with Naish kites

I use my Naish and Ozone bars interchangeably with with my Naish kites. The North bar is fine but here are two reasons NOT to buy a North bar: -the front and back lines are very different lengths which forces you to buy line sets only from North. -the high Y arrangement does not allow you to pull on...

Re: Pulleys on kites

The video posted on the first page of this topic explains the reason for bridle pulleys. Here is the link if you missed it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=Kh_SUh1xUZY And here are two diagrams from Airush and Naish that show why pulleys work. v3-bridle-system.png Naish Pivot Bridle....

Their lease was up and the rent was going to radically increase. It was just a business decision.

Re: Wrap alu mast with carbon fiber for stiffness

If you build your own mast, I suggest you consider just using a foam core which is lighter. Or use very light wood like balsa wood. The core of your mast (or any beam) does not provide much strength.. all the strength is nearer the surface of the mast. I know some commercial foil brands use foam cor...

Re: Naish Maui Pro Center Closed - Bummed

I was told that the Hi Tech store which is not far away will carry Naish gear.
But the Naish Pro shop will certainly be missed.
