Re: Flysurfer Soul

I have to say seeing this video and reading the reviews it’s certainly very impressive. The comparisons/differences between the HL and Soul I suppose should be based on their respective designs and as stated in this thread “not even a fair comparison”. Both designs goals presumably have been met so ...

Re: Ozone Hyperlink 12m Bar Pressure

Hello Hudstur – With regards to bar pressure, I can only comment with respect to 12m HL (Standard fabric) and the 12m Chrono V1 (Standard fabric)if that’s of any help. The bar pressure is a tad more perhaps but quite frankly the difference being minimal. The HL is easy to launch/fly with the kite be...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Hey Tom, Glad to read your liking your 9m HL UL. I’ve been kitesurfing 2 days back to back over this weekend with aim to thoroughly test my 12m HL on the water. The wind has been light on both occasions but today managed a short session in 10mph winds, before the wind dropped for a while. We are hav...

Re: New foil from Ozone

Have had a decent amount of time getting to know the HL, although my sessions with it on the water have been in light winds around 10mph (I’m around 90 kg's kg and ride a skim board it was very promising. Clearly being lighter would help when it comes to riding in such winds. The Kite itself is rock...

Re: Hyperlink size recommedation

Both kites appear to have similar marketing strategies and talks of making the transition from inflatable to a foil kite an easy one. There are bound to be technical differences in which one kite will excel in more or more directions than the other and vice versa. Buyers should make their choice by ...

Re: Hyperlink size recommedation

Today I picked up the kite and it was good 9m day on the Hf. I was itching the get out so I pumped my 9m Mono and went out for an hour. Only had limited time today, after I came in a gave the kids some hotdogs, I wanted you try it on the beach. I rigged the bar with 20 m lines.( it came un rigged a...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

@ Adventure Logs – A credit to you if your launching your 11m Sonic in 35+ winds (whether its MPH or knots) If I arrived at the beach to find the wind 35mph for example, I would see how others were coping and then go home. :D

Re: Any paragliding pilots around here?

I like the idea of Paragliding at low level on the beach, plenty of videos on YouTube.
However, I came across this video so will keep to kitesurfing thanks very much. (The comments make a good read)

Re: New foil from Ozone

Recently took delivery of my 12m HL (Standard fabric) having finally decided which size to go for.
Laying the HL side by side to my 12m Chrono V1, the Chrono is about 1.5m longer and easy to see the difference between a high AR foil and mid AR foil.
Looking forward to my first session…

Re: which kite to complement Ozone Hyperlink 12m and Ozone Chrono V2 UL 18m

Depending on what wind speed you feel comfortable riding in may form part of the decision making process for when trying to decide what size kite to go for. I don’t ride foil boards so not able to comment as such, but my understanding is that you need less wind as compared with a twin tip for example.
