Re: Reliable Windy Destination September

Thanks for getting back so quickly. I went to Jeri a couple of years ago (also in September) and it was by far the most consistantly windy place I have been to. But I forget to say I live in Japan and it took over 40 hours to get to Jeri and I was hoping for similar conditions a bit closer to home. ...

Reliable Windy Destination September

Hi, Can anyone recommend a reliable windy destination for a 2 week holiday in September ? I've looked at the month by month guide but I have followed that before and it hasn't always worked out. I'm open to any suggestions. Prea, Aruba, Mauritius, Paros, Gokova, Cocos Islands, boat safari in the Mal...

Re: St Lucia in March

Thank you very much for your suggestions but it now looks like it's easier for me to get to Barbados and I think the conditions around the Silver Sands area look similar for wind. I'll let you know once I've been.

St Lucia in March

Hi, I'm looking for somewhere to stay in St Lucia for a week in March. I'd like to be close to the kite beach, and she'd like a comfortable hotel to relax in ! We looked at the Coconut Bay Beach Resort but saw some mixed reviews about it. Has anyone been there ? Or suggest somewhere else to stay in ...

Re: Coche Island, Punta blanca Ocean Club: how is it?

Hi, My girlfriend and I were in Coche in March. I think you'd really like it as it is very quiet. There are 2 hotels on the beach, we stayed in Punta Blanca which is closest to the kiting area. It has a nice swimming pool where you can sunbath and not worry about any sand blowing over you. You can s...

Re: Holiday in September

Thank for your replies. I was in Jericoacoara last September and had a great time but thought I'd try somewhere new. Ended up going to Hatteras and although the wind wasn't as consistant as Brazil still had a good time. It was nice to have shallow flat water to practise on.

Re: Best place in Hatteras for kids to learn and hang out

Hi, I've just got back from 2 weeks in Hatteras. My girlfriend and I stayed at Waves Village which is right next to Kitty Hawk Kites. The apartment had 3 bedrooms (each with it's own TV) and 3 bathrooms and nice open plan kitchen/dining/living area. The large balcony overlooked a good pool and the l...

Re: Any insight on Vietnam or Thailand spots?

Hi, Do you mean the wind strength or reliability drops off ? I don't mind 15 knot wind if they are more or less every day. Thanks
