Re: Portugal in September

September is when wind calms down here in Portugal (although there are exceptions with epic sessions).

Re: Which kites similar to North Rebel with less bar pressur

Hi Spaceracer,
The question about the year of your rebel is important as bar pressure has changed from year to year, specially before 2012. I imagine you tried the different attachment points, right?

@Piccio: are you comming to Guincho this year?

See you!

Re: Current board of E.g.Zaijcek, North not allowed in Olymp

Does a difference of 1-2 Kg in the board really matters taking into account the rider can variate weight between 10-20Kg? I mean 6-10 years ago i was 70Kg , now 92Kg, a variation like that could be the case of any rider. If the rider start lossing some weight, is this going to let him perform bette...

Re: Slalom Europeans 2012: Day 1

Is there anything being done to attach the kite to the board? I love racing, but knee fragility (and getting old too) keeps me from entering the race and slalom area of kitesurfing due to knee overload. Something like a pulley where you could ballance the load between the board/body... I am sure som...

Re: Wind Observations

I have setup a weather station in our spot. That is accurate :-) About forecasts i have a theory that windguru has a commercial model that puts good forecasts 5 days ahead so that you go there more often and they get more pageviews :-) Usually local forecasts (from local weather channels) are more a...

Re: North Rebel 2012 review please!

Awesome - thanks very much for your explanation Wawando! Yes I've come from fairly gutless kites (SS Rally's - a 10m & 7m both using 20m lines).. so I'm having to get used the the extra power of the Rebels. My last session I took out a my 7m where I would have normally used a 10.. and that made a h...

Re: North Rebel 2012 review please!

... - In the air, it has great bar feedback. After testing with a setup of one side with the knot in each position, I had no doubt in choosing the harder bar setting ... - Looping down the wave (in low winds i have to do this to keep it in the power zone) it has great behaviour ... Hi Wawando (or a...
