All line sets from about 2010 onwards are equal line and pretty much all control bars will attach to all kites now. not sure id recommend the gorge for progression since it's gusty strong wind, so it can be challenging... but you still get a ton of days on the water and it's an awesome place. the water isnt cold, i wore a 3/2 in june and a shorty july-august-september Good advice! Try the Ocean Rodeo Flite 14.5m I originally demo'd the 17m and found the same thing it was just too much but the 14.5m is has plenty power but way more managable and has lighter bar pressure.
