Re: Kitesurfing Greece - Best Locations

Hi! I'm going to be spending ~4 weeks kitesurfing in Greece this July. I am at an intermediate level (in the process of learning to ride upwind) so I would want to be somewhere relatively beginner-friendly. Ideally I would rent gear and pay for a rescue service just in case I get into trouble! I'm ...

Re: Gasping for breath after crash?! Breathing how to?

I think I have experienced what you describe. I grew up in the water playing in waves I should not have been in and never had an issue but then later in life one time when I was sick, I almost passed out from throwing up. I was choking on a tiny bit of puke, my throat closed up and I honestly could ...

Re: Extreme itch due to wetsuit? Fresh water? red dry blotches..

As above, Neil Pryde and Switch, no issues... Not that I know off. I had a switch wetsuit back in the day. I did not react either but that was before my first reaction to the Hyperflex... I may just be hypersensitive now because of it... Anyhow, Switch has not sold wetsuits for probably 4 years now?

Re: Sandusky Bay sandbar notice!

I just want to make a notice for anyone who currently uses the sandbar in Sandusky Bay for kitesurfing or any other boating. In december 2017, a land conservancy purchased the sandbar property and plans to conserve it for small recreational activities, like hiking or birdwatching. They later stated...

Re: Extreme itch due to wetsuit? Fresh water? red dry blotches..

I'm happy to say that whatever was on the surface layer of the hyperflex wetsuit interior has mostly settled out, though I still occasionally get some mild irritation when my harness is loose and causing some rubbing. I picked up a 1mil neoprene top, and that really helped - it's a much better barr...

Re: Extreme itch due to wetsuit? Fresh water? red dry blotches..

Yes pretty much. It is important to leave it on for at least 48 hours and watch for reaction up to 72 hours. This is not common, my doctor happened to have a cottage beside our place so he knew how important finding a wetsuit I could wear was so he was willing to work it in with the standard tests.....

Re: Help - Purchased Old Kite - Does it need bridles?

Found a picture for you with the kite in flight As you can see it does not need bridles You are good to go http://www.kites.ru/images/school/ocean_rodeo_diablo_02.jpg Important thing to note. Ocean Rodeo kites require a 4" extension on the rear lines starting with all lines equal... add 4" extension
