Re: Marginal wind kites ?

Hi Pete - no I can not try any of these, as around here most are either racers or freeriders with LEI kites, and the latter buying used race kites and not really freeride kites - and racekites I know quite well and not good for my task. Going at the end of the week to a 10 day holiday kitecamp, so ...

Re: Strappless or Strapped for Learning to Foil ??

My wife and I both wasted more then a day trying to learn with a hook on the front. I do not recommend it, you will get injured more by loosing control of the board and falling on the foil while water starting then you will using a strap. Use one or two straps on the front only. Leave them lose you ...

I am buying one (an ultralight Kitech FRS 12 m2), to see if I can move my marginal low end - we'll have to see if it does or dont :thumb:

Re: KITECH FRS

So these I my thoughts about it. FRS 9 is basicaly 12-9 LEI which can stable fly in 5-6 knots and its is also DEEP water relaunchable in this wind. I honestly never flew kite that can be water relaunched so easy. For people with more power needs size 12 can be answer. Its still turns like kite and ...

Re: Drift launch - consistently get steering and front line tangled

K-Roy's description is pretty bang on in my experience. After setting up, when you wrap your lines back onto the bar and go back to your kite, put the bar OVER the kite, not under. Putting it under results in the twist I think you're describing, back lines through front lines. If you're talking abo...

Re: Truck rack for boards and foils

So after trying to buy the above racks I soon realized it was going to cost more than I was willing to spend. So I designed my own and with help from kpterrie built this instead.
