Re: Surf Foils for Kiteboarding?

I have a takuma v100 and a LF happy foil. I hate the surf foil for kiting, slow and doesn't "take off" or build apparent wind at all...it's torturous. Great for actual surfing though. Interesting, you should try the LF Impulse wing, compared to the happy foil its hard not to take off, is not slow a...

Re: Lecca-Lecca Minima 11m First Flight

I'm very interested to hear a review of this kite with a surf foil like a cloud9 24 or 27 or what I have is the LF Impulse. I am a bit concerned with the report that there is less depower. It is very easy to get overpowered with the big wings. ATM the biggest kite I like to use is a 10m OR Flite. S...

Re: Lecca-Lecca Minima 11m First Flight

Laughingman, stay tuned for a review while on the surf foil. I have the slingshot H2 wing to test with the 11M minima. I’ve only had it out for it out for a short session on the twin tip so far. Very stable and easy to fly, especially since I’ve never used a foil kite before. Will keep you posted A...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

Hi Pete - no I can not try any of these, as around here most are either racers or freeriders with LEI kites, and the latter buying used race kites and not really freeride kites - and racekites I know quite well and not good for my task. Going at the end of the week to a 10 day holiday kitecamp, so ...

Re: Strappless or Strapped for Learning to Foil ??

My wife and I both wasted more then a day trying to learn with a hook on the front. I do not recommend it, you will get injured more by loosing control of the board and falling on the foil while water starting then you will using a strap. Use one or two straps on the front only. Leave them lose you ...

I am buying one (an ultralight Kitech FRS 12 m2), to see if I can move my marginal low end - we'll have to see if it does or dont :thumb:

Re: KITECH FRS

So these I my thoughts about it. FRS 9 is basicaly 12-9 LEI which can stable fly in 5-6 knots and its is also DEEP water relaunchable in this wind. I honestly never flew kite that can be water relaunched so easy. For people with more power needs size 12 can be answer. Its still turns like kite and ...
