Hi what harness hook are you using ?
I switched to a Dakine harness about a year ago and this started happening to me straight away , I have no idea why it was doing this but after about a month i went back to my prolimit harness hook and its never happened since .

Its cheap and it works

I put my gauge on a couple of mates kites that they pumped up to 6 psi with the finger method , one was 4 psi the other 9 psi , if you want it the right pressure then use a good gauge , if you dont care then use your finger

These are much stronger and more accurate than your standard kite gauge .

A friend of mine bought some lines from china ,they looked good but the middle lines had stretched by 9 inches within a couple of weeks

Good points Peter , but if any problem is repeated on a regular basis either four or five lines then its operator error IMHO
