Re: Kite for 6-10 knots

I have a 15 strutless (storm voyager) it is not performing like a light foilkite but I prefer it to swim back to shore and it is much lighter and powerfull than a mono strut 12, it is also relatively cheap compared with a foil kite. I use it with 35m lines, 60cm wide bar in 6-10 knots conditions wit...

Re: Strut length - your preferences

I moved recently from 90 to 1m, what a progress !
The only downside of it is when you start from a beach with big breaking waves and a very low decline.

Re: Sliding spreader bar , what do you think ?

using the dynabar since 4 years on a waist harness and dakine shorts pros: excellent for toe side especially on a foil excellent for engaged bottom turns on surfboard excellent for long walk on the beach at low tide excellent for your ribs (relieve some pressure) cons: needs some adjustment for aeri...

Re: Suggestions for a wave/foil kite in one?

If you are coming from Naish.
You can try the naish trip, they are good for wave riding and excellent for foiling. For me they behave better than the storm for regular kiting & wavering.
Under 8m the Naish ride is good too with 2 struts.

Re: really small foil boards < 100 cm

I tried different pocket, it seems that there is some kind of limit about 1.06-08 cm to have something still usable in heavy chop, that's why zeeko , ketos are retaining this size for their pocket board. (with 44-46cm width) A way to solve the issue is to compensate the size of the board with a bigg...

Re: Recommended small board for traveling

I rode the kakoo pocket for one year, I like it on flat water , it starts to be small when you want to ride waves breaking at more than 1m, it is ok in the outside (non breaking waves) I built a bigger board for that purpose 1m25x46 with 12 cm of scoop. I think that the problem when you are close to...

Re: Recommended small board for traveling

kakoo does 1,08 x 44 pocket board with inserts for straps on demand, he adapts the mast position to alpine, ketos and zeeko That's the board I use for travel. https://static.wixstatic.com/media/8e0150_c957960a708249aa891ff8029e4fcb6a~mv2.jpg/v1/fill/w_744,h_566,al_c,q_90/8e0150_c957960a708249aa891ff...

Re: Sliding hook/rope ?

If you are using a waist harness with the foil, it is a plus but not a game changer, especially if your harness can rotate around your waist. If you are using a seat or dakine shorts like me with the foil, it is a game changer for toeside riding, wave riding, jibing etc .. Now if you are surfing wit...

Re: Show us your stance !

clearly with the alpine , the foot is on the mast when strapless
when strapped with a race board, my back foot is 3cm behind.
If you compare alpine with ketos for example, the alpine is 10-13cm back on the board
