Yup. Its tight. To get the cylinder/ring pushed over the hose end, you need to pull on the hose so its outside diameter gets smaller and push the cylinder in the same time in the opposite direction. Make sense?

Hi Don!
That sounds about right. The plastic cylinders basically replace the tiwraps. Slip them over the hoses before slipping to hoses over the barb fittings then slide the cylinders down over the hose ends. Good luck!

I think the method of rubbing soapy water applied using a 2$ spray bottle is by far the easiest way to find leaks.
My 2 cents.
