gottmoore that is one scary looking piece of home brewed equipment. I'll take your word on the effectiveness.

It is for connection to c-loop. I therefore have another pin safety above the c-loop and the safety pin release itself...

wichard vs donkey dick...

I was thinking of replacing my donkey dick on a best swivel bar (ie safety = chicken loop) with a wichard. Reason was i have had the donkey dick disconnect a few times unintentionally - the last time resulting in me losing my kite. Any reason why a wichard would be more or less safe than a donkey di...

No, i think it stretched to the point the dog dick fell out. It actually happened before it started looping when it wasn't pulling that hard so i would classify it as a failure of the safety. In any case I don't know about you but i don't like the thought of my kite blowing free on a beach with othe...

kite pain !

Had a good taste of what a kite can dish out when your luck turns bad today. Was out on a 7m in 25 knots. Was about 500m off shore. Took some air off a wave. Got about 20 feet. Lost control of the kite - not sure how - i do plenty of jumping and have never had anything like this - i think i took it ...

Hi, First up this is not meant to be a Best bashing thread so please just objective feedback !! I heard that there have been some issues with the Best swivel bar safety not releasing . I had exactly the opposite experience. I tried using 23m lines. Went out in a 15-20kn day with a 14m kite and found i was underpowered esp. during the lulls. Went up to my 30m lines and had an awesome session fully powered. I've tried the 23m a few times and have had the same experience each time. T...

Back Rolls vs Front Rolls

Did some concerted practice on the rolls today. Everyone seems to say that back rolls are the easiest but was doing the fronts OK and having difficulty with the backs. Problem initially was that when i rotated backwards i was pulling to much with my back hand meaning i completed the loop but landed ...

Heel straps

I am looking to fit some heelstraps to my footstraps as I hate it when my feet slip out. Anybody had any bad experiences with them (eg injury) ?
