I've had the snap on my P2 13 release on me twice...no cracks or other damage. The first time was on a frozen lake, and I had to chase the kite 1/4 mile in ski boots until it wrapped around someone's dock. Not fun, but at least there was no damage. The second time was on liquid water, just as the ki...

Just what you need: another opinion. Our sitations are similar. Three years ago I learned to wakeboard, and put 160 hours on my new boat that summer. When fall came, I wanted a sport for the winter, and discovered snowkiting. I sail, so I knew a little about the wind, and kiting seemed right-on. The...

Lake Wallenpaupack kicks butt! We're there many weekends in the winter. I did 58.5 miles in 4.5 hours on that lake...it's got a huge open area with typically very good wind.

This should set all the new speed records! What's the new red handle above the trimmer? Is it a new safety release? How the turning speed? With such a high AR, does it still turn ok? Do you think it's usable with snowboards as well, or does it move too fast through the window to make it easy to get ...

We missed you! The surface was about 12 inches of wet, heavy, sticky snow, with some slush in spots. Not very good. I was trying a snowboard for the first time, and it was very difficult. I have a feeling that the season is pretty much over for Wallenpauck, although there might be good hardpack this...

Lake Wallenpaupack, PA Sunday 3/6/2005

Sunday the 6th has good winds predicted for Lake Wallenpaupack, and I'm putting a group together to head up there. It's about 110 miles West-Northwest of Manhattan. We've been there each of the last few weekends, and it is by far the best snowkiting location in the greater NYC area. We have set up a...

Lake Wallenpaupack is about 2 hours northwest of Manhattan, and is by far the best spot in the region. I'm in Putnam County, 1 hour north of Manhattan, and WP is 90 miles due west of me. A bunch of us are there almost every weekend. In the Albany area are some very big lakes as well; I can get you i...

Where can I find info on the leader modification? I've tested the safety quite a bit, and the kite normally does settle down, but this time it was leading egde up, and it just sat there. Even when it's properly on the ground it has quite a bit of pull, but I found if I pull in enough on one of the s...
