Re: KTA Vietnam Teaser Video is out

Sorry you had such a negative experience of the KTA event Tony, certainly not our intention to upset anyone. Appears we have walked into a whole heap of local politics and feuds which are difficult to be aware of sometimes, again we would not have intentional have wanted to add to these frustration...

Re: Is Vietnam a learning spot?

Thanks for the tip, I'll check that place out. I really like Russians, I majored in Russian at uni and used to live there. My girlfriend is even Russian. But I know they aren't for everybody. They don't make an effort to learn English usually and are quite rude to strangers, two things that makes k...

Re: Is Vietnam a learning spot?

Sadly, I have to agree with Chicken Tikka. Mui Ne is not a good spot for beginners (and I would go as far as saying that Mui Ne is not a good spot, period, for precisely the reasons that Chicken Tikka enumerated - in my opinion, the only things that Mui Ne has got going for it is decent wind and, n...

Re: This really hurts!

one day my 5th line broke, so I swam to shore with my kite and board...the shorebreak almost slammed the board on my head...better to swim in the kite, and leave the board a little out and get it later... :nono: Nope ! Do not do this in Vung tau beach. When you get to shore with your kite ,then the...

Re: One night on a kite in the ocean and survived

:D :D I just read a story, that two 12 year old local kids went for a downwinder at 5:30 pm in Cabarete. The wind died, and then started to blow offshore. One kid came to shore in Puerto Plata, and the other was found by coincidence by a fisher the next day laying on his kite somewhere on the ocean....

Re: vietnam winds this season....

Hi Toby! It was not on the map . Further North about 120km, another province call Ninh thuan. But why nobody mention Vungtau. Nina has changed the wind direction. I kite three times a week here and some day it blowed like Penghu ,Taiwan.
