Re: FireWire vanguard ?

Shameless copying! No tact.
I love my 5'4" firewire!
I guess firewire should feel flattered by all the copies out there but this is ridiculous!
Don't be fooled.

Re: FireWire vanguard ?

Hey SFlinux

I am about your same weight and I ride a 5'4". A good place to start if you can demo. The board is sweet and you may even want to try a 5'2" also.

Re: Suggestions for a wave kite with low bar pressure please

Hey Rorke, Almost a former Kima rider here. I still have a 6m Kima. Love the kite also! I have been flying the Switch Method (7&9M) for the last two seasons. The Method is the closest I could find that is similar to the Kima. The bar pressure is also pretty close. Some have said here that the bar pr...

Re: My Method Rocks!

I have been lucky enough to fly the 7M most the season and have flown the 9M about a handfull of times too. I would say the bar pressure might be a little more on the 9M. Maybe due to the kite size. In any case, I am not worried about it. To put things in perspective, I just spent the weekend waters...

Re: Switchkites - Element?

Bill, Like the Methods 7 & 9 m. Thinking of getting either the 13m Element or the 12m Method for wave riding. The kites are fairly close size wise, however, which one will turn the fastest? I ride in on-shore and side shore winds, where I find I need lots of drift, great low end and a quick turn. I ...

Re: Switch Method 7m

Flying doc, I got to fly a friend's B4 12 meter today. Good kite, good power for some light onshore wind and small surf. I have both the 7 and 9 m Methods. The differences I noticed were that the B4 has more of pivot type of turn whereas the Method has a more rounded type of turn through the window....

Re: Is the Switch Method a great choice for a beginner kite?

Bill/Felix

Maybe someone mentioned this earlier, not sure...
Why not send the author of this thread a demo and let them try it at the gusty lake location and have them give some feedback? Hopefully this would put some minds at ease.
