Re: Most Dangerous and aggresive locations in the SE UK

. It wouldn't matter if wind_rider was 100% wrong and only motivated by maliciousness. If the forum is going to PRETEND that it offers the opportunity for individuals to communicate with each other about topics affecting kiting, then ANY censorship is BULLSHIT . Anyone who is "offended" by a post or...

Re: Cape Cod Ban, need everyone's help!

It _is_ unbelievable and unfair. Instead of a complete ban, why not just set up a few simple guidelines? Have designated launch and land areas, maybe using 200 feet of beach near each parking spot and away from birds. Make sure riders know to launch and immediately get off the beach and enjoy the w...

Re: Pea Island "OBX" (closed for Kiteboarding)

. I noticed that my post of 5/14/14 at the top of page 8 was especially unclear. Therefore, I today edited it to make it a little more intelligible. The gist of it is supposed to convey the idea that there are a variety of potential ways to attack the regs based upon just a cursory look at the secti...

. Any kiters (or others) who might want to use drones in US National Parks are now potential criminals. Re: Pea Island "OBX" (closed for Kiteboarding)

. SSK: You’ve obviously put a lot of productive time and effort into this situation. It is neither easy nor fun finding this crap and trying to sort through it. If no one has yet tried a “nice” approach to gaining cooperation, by all means try it. It could work and save untold amounts of miserable e...

Re: Pea Island "OBX" (closed for Kiteboarding)

. If there is anyone who might be interested in taking a reasonable, longish term approach to accumulating evidence to have the supposed ban removed you might consider SENDING the HEAD HONCHO (HH) a CERTIFIED polite letter as a STARTING POINT. Be as conciliatory as possible by explaining that their ...

Re: Pea Island "OBX" (closed for Kiteboarding)

... I am not going to put forth the effort to fight bans/restrictions... So your personal position on this entire issue is "Do as I say...not as I do" then. Thanks for the clarity. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and conclude that your being new to the forum, rather than pure stupidity , is ...

Re: Pea Island "OBX" (closed for Kiteboarding)

. Another is to fight the regs and/or tickets in court (which is NOT necessarily beyond the ability of average kiters). May I offer that this may be beyond the average kiter's financial ability ( attorney's fees for a court case) and time commitment ability. Given that most kiters have those other a...

Re: Pea Island "OBX" (closed for Kiteboarding)

. Richard, many kiters would like to stand up for their rights, they simply do not understand their rights and more importantly do not know how to handle the inevitable bureaucracy that they will encounter. Now, it's time to put your pontificating to real -practical use. What exactly would you recom...
