Re: Any self taught out there?!

Yep self taught, started September 1999. 2 line Wipika, 7’6” surfboard I glassed straps to. I read half page article in a windsurf mag (was a windsurfer before) about something to do with sine-ing the kite. Took me a year to learn to get up, ride and return to same place. Used same kite no matter th...

Re: Airush wave kite hindenburg

Been riding Waves for 4 yrs, if that’s happened to you it’s definitely back lines too short/ shrinkage. Check ur lines as the Wave flys brilliantly with correct lines.

Re: Ride Engine 2018 Harnesses

I have one of the original hand made ones from Coleman who created Engine, since 2013. Never had my PU spreader hoop come loose ever.

Re: Modern wave kite

Sonnyrider, That's correct, I did but couldn't get on with them. Personally found them heavier feeling and slower/less nimble in the turn. So kicked myself and went back to Waves, but instead of 9/7/5 I went 8/6 which is working great. I don't bother now unless it's 20+mph with waves so it's now an ...

Re: What is your wave quiver?

8 and 6m Airush waves, covers me from 18mph up to crazy. I'm 82kg, only strapless. Been kiting for 18yrs and now only bother if it's windy, not marginal. No waves at my spot unless it's blowing anyway and as it's x on most of the time I like small fast turning kites. I rode 9,7,5 for years but found...

Re: Chicken Loop Bye Bye?

More importantly, how do you totally detach yourself from the kite. Looks like you are tied to the flag line after QR by the pigtails?

Re: Core Kite Skim?

Letsflyakite,

Just consider the possibility, however remote, that you could possibly be wrong? Then ask yourself is anything so small worth fighting over? Personally I just can't see how anyone has the energy.

Re: What is your absolute low end?

20mph biggest kite is 8m Wave (plus a 6m) and surfboard. I'm 83kg been kiting 17yrs, unless it's windy and wavy I can't be arsed with the drive!
