Re: Kitesurfing offshore or side offshore winds

Do it!

Be prepared to ditch your gear and swim in if the shit hits the fan.
Crossoff is some of the best kiting you can do in waves..... if not the best!

Re: Vote for 7 Kiting Wonders of the World

Nothing that has crowds can be paradise!

I'll take my windy, bleak, crowdless, wetsuit-wearing spot any day over those heinous jam-packed tourist kiting locations.

Re: Which Kites and lines lenght are most people using for 30 to 50 knots

50 knots as said, is simply a very wrong interpretation of how much wind there really is, and I bet 99 % are wrong when they say they were out in 50 knots (average wind, only thing that counts...) with big kites 5-6-7 m2 on surfboards. 8) Peter I'm not sure what your fascination with average wind i...

Re: Torsional flex - now a good thing :-)

I'm not sold on torsional flex. That would give you too much noodle board feel. tip flex is another thing. I think that is a good thing. I want to reduce torsional flex while increasing tip flex.

Re: Three strut Hybrid C kites for foiling?

I've got an 8m Enduro. It's reasonable as a foil kite. But not as good as my 2012 cat which was lighter. The Enduro is a bit heavier with a few little batton things and more reinforcement. But it is a better TT engine than my old kite. It has more lift! I'm thinking lighter wave kite would be slight...

Re: under a 9m better a 6 or a 7m for twintip riding?

Easy. Your next size down should be a 7. 9-6 is gap is too big and you will be overpowered/underpowered around 28-30 knots. get a 7 find the top end of that. Then decide if you need a smaller kite. Depending on your style and skill you can probably hold a 7m into 40 knot gusts. But solid 35 plus sho...
