Re: Woo 1.0 vs 2.0 vs 3.0

More of the same here: http://www.wetestkites.com/2018/05/21/woo-3-0-game-over/ (but maybe some more details involved) Dave We Test Kites Hi Dave, well done, I really like the fact that you do actual statistical testing on the results and thus try to remove bias. Since you, or someone on your team,...

Re: naish pivot vr ozone enduro

The fanboys here will try to tell you something different but it isn´t. You seem a fanboy yourself for the Enduro. And you're allowed to, good to see you enjoy it. Just don't make it look like it's true because it's your opinion. Nothing more than that. There's enough on this forum on the Piv...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

Got myself the 12m 2018 Ultra 2 weeks ago, sofar only 1 session on it with the tt. I'm pleasantly surprised, I'm happy to report. Gusts up to 25 knots, steady wind down to 15 (2 minutes average) so actual lulls probably lower. I flew the Ultra on a Naish 2016 bar with pigtails. Kite felt very steady...

Re: Woo 1.0 vs 2.0 vs 3.0

I did a double-sided t-test on the data sets to see whether the 3 samples are similar. I think that's the correct statistical test but might be wrong. Anyhow, Woo 1 results are statistically different from both Woo 2 and Woo 3. Woo 2 & 3 are not statistically different. Presenting the results like t...

Re: Phenom or... - switching from Wainman Magnum 6"?

Out of these options I would take the Mitu. I had an earlier version of that as a follow-up to the Signature that I mistakenly bought first. As a starting waveboard-rider I had similar issues like you have with the Magnum. It got better as the wind (&waves) picked up but just relatively difficult to...

Re: biggest regret purchase

Contrary to pretty popular opinion, my worst purchase was a Ride Engine harness. Felt good in the shop if a bit fiddly with those straps, but I liked it there so took it to the beach. Did 2 sessions with it and fortunately was able to exchange it afterwards. I had to take breaks from kiting every 15...

Re: Airush Ultra 12m for waves

Thanks for that, also interested in the Ultra 12m on top of my Pivots for low-wind wave-'riding' rather fooling around a bit. Sounds like a 12m could get me out from 12-13 knots and up on the surfboard since I weigh about the same as you maybe 5lb less. How do you rate the general speed and the turn...

Re: Pivot Unbaised Review. Good Kite For Surf?

Good for you and very nice that you posted your review having a lot of experience with the kite, that'll help a lot of people. I'm still very happy with my 2017 7&9 Pivots. Now if only the wind would pick up again, it's been 2 months now without any serious opportunity to ride  . I may have to...

Re: Newby Gear Question - Evo 2017 or 2018

The Evo is said to have changed significantly from '17 to '18. On Seabreeze the local North expert loves the '17 and hates the '18. You should head up there to inform yourself, valuable insights.
