Re: 2018 Naish kites

I didn't see much difference between '15&'16 Pivots but the '17 I just got is quite different. It's smoother and has a bigger windrange. I wasn't considering changing my 7m '16 but after the experiences with the '17 9m I am seriously contemplating just that. Of course imho ymmv etc. It sounds almos...

Re: What is your wave quiver?

Naish Pivot 5('16)/7('16)/9('17), just traded my Firewire Vanguard for a DSD Stallion. Both 5'2. I'm 82kg. I ride on the Dutch Northsea coast where waves are only present when there's wind. NW wind can bring waves up to 4-5m (12/15 feet) but most of the time it's (way) less than that. Waves often do...

Re: 2018 Naish kites

I was referring to a possible difference between the '17&'18 Pivots Stefarius, theoretical too as I haven't flown the '18.

I'm 10kg less than you and like the '17 9m in those winds in waves, that size does drift.

Edit: so how about some more experience with the 2018 Naish kites!

Re: Red Bull Megaloop in the Netherlands

NJ broke his board in the second round when he borrowed a 7m kite.

The megaloop competition was not 'woosted' so I'm not sure what theprevious poster is on about. Woo comp was extra. Akkersdijk won highest of NL by 0.1 from a local at a different spot 😁😁.

Re: Best height reached on a 9m Naish Pivot according to Woo

I got my '17 Pivot 9 last week, and have flown it 3 times now with waveboard (1) & twintip. Happy to get a new PR yesterday at a meagre 8.3m 😂. Still a lot left on the table so I should be able to move up soon. 19.5 will probably not be on the cards soon. Or ever 😂 Also a new hangtime record at 6.5sec

Re: Best hurricane ultra high wind 40 plus knot kite

Indeed Plummet. And then there's the issue of what we're actually talking about, gusts or steady wind. I've been out in gust Mid-40s. No issue whatsoever for my 85kg & Pivot 7m since steady wind typically is in the high 30s. I've been out in gusts in the low-50s on my Pivot 5m. Steady wind mid-40s. ...

Re: DSD Stallion 5'4 - anyone rode it?

I have seen a number of Stallions on the beach that don't look dinged up like the board above. Today I finally got to ride a V2 5'2". I have a Vanguard 5'2" myself. Only 10 minutes but I have a few things to share. The Stallion is a confidence inspiring board. through the chop it felt muted, as if i...

Re: 2018 Naish kites

The balance between front tube and trailing edge is going to be different when the latter weighs less. So unless the front tube is lightrr as well, the centre of the kite will be in a different position compares to before. I assume that will have an impact on the drifting capabilities. We'll see whe...
