Re: Slingshot Turbo 3 2:1 Bridle

I have the T3 11 and prefer the kite on 1:1. It turns plenty fast enough this way. I honestly don't remember whether it was slack or not though.

Re: Jay presents Dynabar V5

Been out of town - Thank you both for your answers. 1) By "Big" I mean the depth of the U of the hook itself. It seems a lot more movement would be required to unhook. 2) I totally agree that this would be a God send for the accidental hook in - for me often entering a jibe. 3) I love the reactor ba...

Re: Jay presents Dynabar V5

Jay, I can see how the Dynabar might be good for windsurfing, sort of an improved Reactor bar, but I don't think I'd use one as long as the hook is as big as it is. I might try one if the hook were smaller.

Re: Slingshot Octane 2010

As far as comparing it to the rev2.. I cannot say as I never owned a rev 2.. I came from the T3 and there is no comparison there.. but a few friends who have come from rev2 to the octane. who are very very competent surf kiters. unhooked unstrapped. . say that its a nicer kite with a better range.....

Re: Bill Hansen what you going to do??

How about start another company? http://www.hansensails.com/ I've been on Hansen sails for 2+ years now. Great low end and smooth power delivery. I'm pretty sure (but have no inside info) his development for Eclipse was on a contract basis, so there's no reason he can't continue that if he wants.

Re: 15m Lines?

I love the control you get with 20m lines, but the fact is that some kites just don't work well on short lines. Their turning radius is just too big and if you need a big power stroke you risk dragging a wing tip. I'd never even try 15s unless it was with a 7m kite.

A little birdie told me about the coming Surge, but now tell me about the Vector delta. Start with when it will be available please.
