Re: Deadly bacteria kills 9 in Florida coastal waters

I picked up a staph like infection a few years ago kiting through a cut from shaving that day. Not a pleasant experience. 2 weeks of feeling like walking death but it cleared up without hospitalization.

Re: Do Kites Fly Better with Strut Vavles Closed?

Re: Do Kites Fly Better with Strut Vavles Closed?

I seriously doubt it. There is very little squeezing pressure on a strut bladder. There is bending for on bladders though. Is it any harder to bend a strut or LE with the valves closed by hand? No, didnt think so. Air compresses very easily, especially at the pressures our kites hold. A deformation ...

Re: RPM size to go with 12m Rally ?

Im a Slingshot dealer in Canada. My recomendations are: if you want to unhook or kiteloop heavily, go RPM 8m. The 8 RPM has a nice 4-5 knot overlap with the 12 Rally where the 9 has a little too much for my taste. It sits deeper in the window to improve freestyle ability but sacrificing upwind abili...

Re: Unexpected telltale results

El Rudo, "almost the same" planform can mean huge differences, especially with bridle changes. And i dont fault the industry for not licensing this concept. Truly revolutionary changes have been widely licensed across the board: LEI kites, single point inflation etc. so why not the venturi if its as...

Re: Unexpected telltale results

Another thing: slots on aircraft wings are always, or almost always incorporated into a feature that drastically changes the shape of the airfoil (slat & flap extension). They are not useful for standard AOA changes, but for maintaining lift through drastic changes to the camber and speed of the air...
