Re: [Beginner] Looking for a new twintip for Kiteboard and cable park

I have it and it is not that great at the cable. It's really fast which I can handle but the flex pattern is not what I like. The tips don't flex enough and it has too much flex between the boots for my taste. To the original best to get a cable board for the park and a kite board for kite. If you ...

Re: [Beginner] Looking for a new twintip for Kiteboard and cable park

I am a long time cable park rider and got into kiteboarding late last year. I have looked into getting a crossover board that I can use in both places. I am thinking about getting the Slingshot Refraction Pro. It is a kiteboard with a grind base that can be used a both the cable park and kiteboardi...

Re: Tantrum / inverter frontroll- any different?

look at some wakeboarding videos, what kiteboarders call back/frontrolls are usually just frontside/backside 360s backroll is a heelside backflip tantrum is a toeside backroll frontroll is a heelside front flip it doesn't have to be exactly like doing a backflip on flat ground, but you should be ge...

Re: Kiteboarding Boots - Weight?

I know "hyperlite" has "lite" in the title of the system but how heavy are they? Depends on the boot and the binding. I use the low bindings I like them better. Then I have been riding the AJ's the last 2 years but they don't have them for 18's so I'll be switching to the Webb's. They are not as li...

Re: Grind base material test

Nice! I have been worried about trying to use this stuff because of bonding issues. It is not cheap either.

Replacement SS Valve

Anyone know where I might get a replacement valve at for the new SS inflate system. I don't need a selfstick patch just the screw in valve. The plastic lanyard broke and I lost one to my 17m Turbine. Kinda weird I know but would rather just get the valve vs a whole patch as it is not delaming.

Re: Kiteboard boots setting on board

Shoulder width apart. Adjust your duck to what feels comfortable on your knees. I ride all the way in with very little duck. My knees bothering from time to time so I'm most comfortable this way.

Re: 2018 / 2017 / 2016 kiteboarding boot / binding recommendations

Light and durable don't mix well in boots. Case in point your Ronix boots. Getting in and out of boots puts the most wear on them followed by catching edges. All so not drying them after each use can cause them to mildew and that makes them deteriorate faster as well. I ride Hyperlite systems for bo...
