Re: Naish Monarch 2016/17 ?

I have the 2017 Monarch and if you like to ride fast, edge hard and go big it’s a fantastic ride that hauls upwind. The Monarch is a little heavy but you’ll likely never break it. However, you ride slower it’s hard to load up. Awesome board.

Re: Serious Big Air

Thanks for posting that picture of Lewis going huge with a backroll kiteloop. I wish I had the courage and skills to pull that move with that much amplitude.

Re: 2018 Naish kites

I love my 2018 Dash kites. I have the 14 and 10m. The kites boost and unhook really nicely for being allrounders. Definitely an improvement over the Park as the kite provides more feedback and feels a bit more solid. Moreover I can switch from my twintip to my foil when the wind gets light and they’...

Tips for board offs in thick booties?

8 months out of the year I ride 5 millimeter booties at my local spot due to the water temps being around 46F. When wearing booties I always have a lot of trouble getting my feet completely back in my straps after doing a board off. Often I only get my toes into the straps even when riding them very...

St. Lucia or Antigua in early-mid December?

I'm planning a kite/family trip to the Caribbean in early December and I can't decide where to go. I want to kite as much as possible but I also want my non-kiter wife and two small kids (under 4) to have a good time. I've been looking at Coconut Bay on Saint Lucia and also Antigua. Which one of tho...

Re: Surfer almost decapitated with a hydrofoil- Warning

I wasn't talking about kite foiling, but paddle surf foiling in a crowded line up. Kite foiling is fine all day but paddling a surf foil into a popular break will result in bad things happening in short order.

Re: Surfer almost decapitated with a hydrofoil- Warning

Surfing foils at crowded spots is probably a no no. If I were to get a paddle foil I definitely wouldn't ride it with a leash thus making it more dangerous to those around. I hope they can quickly design a safe yet effective surf foil on which you could pearl and not worry about getting torn up if y...

Foils in KOTA?

After seeing dudes like Adam Whittington ride there is no doubt that one can boost much higher riding a hydrofoil than a twintip in similar conditions. To this end I'd love to see if a foiler in the KOTA could break the 100 ft mark. Would anyone else like to see a hydrofoil freestyler compete?

Re: Oldest person to do powered handlepasses tricks?

I'm turning 40 and can do some basic handle passes like the blind judge, back mobe, and getting close to the KGB and 313. A knee surgery in the past and injuries from snowboarding has led to some arthritis developing in my knees, due to this I had to give up riding boots last year and go back to str...

Re: Early May Caribbean Spots w Great Wind?

Since I also enjoy diving it seems Bonaire might be a great spot (one can only kite so many hours a day). I've also heard the wind is straight offshore there, but there are rescue boats. Any thoughts on Aruba vs. Bonaire?
