Re: Finding University + Kitesurfing - Help Needed

Australia was one place I was looking into. There's something about American culture that throws me off. I do have friends here but I don't feel like I fit in the general college life here in the States. The country is beautiful, but it's the cold weather and the people that I'm not comfortable with...

Finding University + Kitesurfing - Help Needed

Alright guys, so here's the story: Two years ago, I moved to Boston for university from a really hot place where I lived close to the beach and where I fell in love with kitesurfing. The problem is I hate it here. It's cold, I'm away from the beach, and there's no way for me to kitesurf in freezing ...

Re: Naish 2010 bar vs Airush 2011 control bar - which is bet

It also depends if you're an above the bar depower or below the bar. Personally, i'm an above the bar, but i own a Torch, and i love it. Thats why im thinking of putting the airush bar on it. It looks amazing ! Just get the above model then! http://www.24-7boardsports.com/product_images/l/617/naish...

Re: The kites you never see.

Here in dubai the kites you probably see the most are RRDs.
The distributor here has a big part of the market.

Ive met the Gaastra distributor but dont see a lot of his kites in the air, and ive also seen a couple of Nobiles. Also 1 or 2 Core.

For the rest, i dont think they ever came to the UAE.

Re: Boots vs Straps

Can u just list the pro's and con's between boots and straps ?? then people would know if it would suit their riding conditions and style. From what was said, i found out that boots, would be bad in low winds, and better for wakestyle but not kiteloops (why not ?) I would guess boots would be more c...

Re: Attention Riders from UAE and Abu Dhabi etc

Guys dont worry, its not that strict here. Just obey the rules. Yes the winds are light here, most people ride on 14s, 15s and bigger, a lot of FS speeds... We also do get some 17+ knots some days or even we had last year (on easter) 35 knots, with only one person on the water on a 7m at the beach w...

You also forgot Oman - Masirah Island. June, July and August. Starts end of May and ends beginning Sept. 25 to 30 knots, non-stop everyday. Waves, flat water, anything you want. every wind direction is possible because its a small island. Sleep in your 4x4 or in a 4 star hotel. Read Julien Hosps' ex...
