>> 3- Don’t fall forwards
Curious about this. I'm learning but whenever I know I'm falling I take a big dive forward away from the board. Is there a better technique?
Here's a quick writeup on learning to foil with this setup. I'm completely hooked on foiling now, and very stoked with this setup too. Let me know if anyone has any questions on this, or is in the gorge and wants to try it out anytime. http://ikiteboarding.com/article/learning-foil-f-one-foil-mitu-c...
bandit is hands down the best Kite I've flown. dialed in Kite loops and can always get the 11 or below to catch me, and added the 15 feet to jumps and it drifts well in the surf too. easily the most versatile kites I've flown. also it chews up gusts and has massive range, much needed in the gorge. I...
Playa grande was kiteable the few times I was there, didn't kite it though. I've kited here a few times, wind was ok both times https://www.google.com/maps/place/Cabarete/@19.5481211,-69.9023489,1059m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!3m1!1s0x8eae1d60036f9767:0xc97c16f239fbac5f!6m1!1e1 There are a few sandy beaches...
The ID is notorious for not relaunching. Search this forum and I think you'll find a thread on it. May want to go with a different kite to learn on, relaunch is maybe the most important quality of a kite when learning. Not sure about the upwind capability but it's more of a freestyle kite so it like...
Check out the F-One Bandit. I demoed the 15 envy in a 9 and much prefer the bandit to it. I rode the Catalyst the last few years and progressed more on the bandit in 2 months than the catalyst the last 2 years. Loops are way easier and I put an extra 10 feet on my jumps. Only downside from the envy ...
I ride the armada, it's the best all round twin tip I've ridden, a very underrated board. I've never ridden boots so take this with a grain of salt, but I don't think it would be a great fit for boots. The landings are not very soft, especially compared to a joke or cabrinha custom with more rocker....
