Re: Land a megaloop without stalling the kite...?

It sounds like the kite isn't catching you. No, the kite is catching me, it finishes the loop and is back up at 12 0'clock before I land, but I am travelling downwind and the kite ends up behind me. I know it's just a case of another loop, or a downloop, to keep it in front of me. I'll keep trying!...

Re: Land a megaloop without stalling the kite...?

So just go for a second loop? I guess I have to pull the second loop (or the downloop) before I am too far under the kite...

Land a megaloop without stalling the kite...?

I'm getting to the point where I can kiteloop in 30+ knots, and the kite makes it all the way round while I'm still in the air, and it yanks me hard, and I go downwind of the kite, and the kite starts to stall... I know I should loop it back round the other way to keep the lines taught, but I can't ...

Changed Kites, Now Can't Pop / Raley

I've been using Best Yargas and Nemesis for the last five years or so, and like the feel of them a lot, but recently I got a couple of Generators, and I'm having all sorts of trouble getting the pop right. With the Best kites I can get a great pop every time, land to blind more often than not, and s...

Woohoo!!

Nailed it on the water twice today!! Well, I passed the bar anyway. First landing was a face plant, and the second was about the same, but I passed the bar in the air so I'm happy!! My feeling is that practising on land did NOT help. On the water it's different, and I think the most important elemen...

Thanks No Idea, How long did it take you to make your first pass, and to start passing consistently? Getting vertical makes sense, since then you are hanging from your arms with your center of gravity more or less above the bar, and this will give more time to rotate. I've found that I sometimes get...

Ron,

When you do the pass does it feel like one smooth motion, or more like two seperate moves?

ie. swing up and then rotate...?

Also, are you rotating while you are more or less vertical upside down? So hanging from your left hand?

Thanks for your input!

Ron, Much appreciated. One question - of the two thirds that you don't land, how do you fall? On your head???? I struggle to have the confidence to really go for it on land, because i'm worried i will fall head first.. On the up side, I tried several times today on the water, and *ONCE* I touched th...
