Re: Pulleys on kites

There was a year or two when I know Cabrinha and maybe a few other brands went with a lesser quality pully (there were black and had no name on them). That was the only time I saw pulley failure happen regularly. I want to say it was 09 and 10 kites but don’t quote me. The fix was sending out chrome...

Re: Any 2017 rumors for light weight kites?

Just be careful about all those 12m light wind kites, they are specific for foiling. In fact be careful about any kite that has Foiling in its target audience. They are totally different animals, those guys kite 12m in 7-8 knots and 9m in 11-12knots. There are no way that you can ride that crap in ...

Re: Any 2017 rumors for light weight kites?

What I have noticed about light wind kites the last few years is that as a lighter rider, 3 years ago I made a lot of runs in light wind on a 17. I even used to hold a 17m kite in much higher winds and not feel out of control. Now even in super light wind I feel overpowered by a 2015/16 17 meter kit...

Re: Epic Renegade Infinity anyone?

I think what is going to get anyone started is any claim of something to be the best. Having flown a lot of different kites I can honestly say there is no magic bullet kite that will do everything or anything amazingly better than most other kites. I'm just super happy that after years of nothing we...

Re: Epic Renegade Infinity anyone?

I wouldn't be surprised that it was a good foil kite, the upwind ability of a foil would balance out the downwind pull and with the speed when going the kite will start flying better. Not a lot of foiling going on here yet, bay is too shallow most places we ride and just hasn't caught on yet with th...

Re: Epic Renegade Infinity anyone?

I would just like point out that the average joe review of the Infinity was done on a out of tune bar and Kirk states that. Any kite will not work great when it is tested that way. Jimmy The bar we used was a brand new out of the plastic Epic bar, which we sent back to Dimitri to confirm if was wor...

Re: Epic Renegade Infinity anyone?

I've flown and tested the epic and a lot of other light wind kites, and in almost everyone's opinion the epic was the worst out of the group. Check out the Average Joe Light wind kite review. I short, sits too far in the window, not as fast as the other kites. Flys better when the wind is up. If you...
