Re: Cutting down lines length for starters

Yeah just to clarify...I'm NOT suggesting you ride on 7m lines...well I've seen it done and it's bloody funny to watch...but as a teaching aid...especially in Tarifa where we can get pretty mental winds at times...it's invaluable

Re: Trying to understand kite quiver

I second the idea of buying 2 boards...cheaper, harder to break and retain their value better than kites and means those big gaps you have between kite sizes can be covered easily.

Re: Kites for teaching

Airush DNA's are the best kites I've ever used for teaching on, simple, stable, easy relaunch and no backstall/front stall issues...and they work equally well on 3 or 25 m lines

Re: How much do kites cost to manufacture?

Looking at models like Switch, there's obviously a lot of money in the supply chain. I've asked several high up reps at various kite companies about this and none of them are concerned or considering changing their model as online sales still account for only a fraction of total sales, people still ...

Re: Where to go in September (France, Spain..)

Agreed still warm, windy and now a lot less busy in Tarifa. I run a school out there (so am obviously highly biased) but if your interested check us out at http://www.TantrumKitesurf.com. Whatever you decide there are loads of great schools out here so you should find something to suit!

Re: In Tarifa for a month

Have a sneaky suspicion there will be wind on the Sunday....have you checked out the feria? Make sure you're well tanked up before you go but it's a lot of fun. Apart from that there's climbing, mountain biking, land sailing, horse riding, quad biking, wake boarding just down the coast.
