Re: Chrono 15m kite review

Well said Carlo, you are really one of the only peoples opinion I value, here having ridden both kites. Unlike most of the posters here, they have not a clue about foils and most simply speculate. I also have Speed 4 Lotus 12/15 m and those are killer kites, If I were a racer the Chrono is the kite ...

Re: Ozone Chrono - High Performance DePower Foil For All Sur

I am in total agreement for Kami on this one. Simply because they are both foils doesn't not mean they are the same thing and should be compared. I kite well over 500 hours a year exclusively on foils both Flysurfer and Ozone. The new Lotus Speed 4 12m and 15m I have now flown are other worldly in m...

Re: Kitesurfing Mallorca/Majorca or nearby year round?

Coming to Mallorca on May 5 for 2 weeks. I would like to know your thoughts on winds for that time? Is that referred to as summer and I should expect thermal winds? I think it would be a great value to pay 100 euros for 2 weeks of support and rescue if needed. Staying in Pollenca so not far to go! K...

Re: Speed 4 questions

Well said, yes, this kite drifts and holds it shape so very nicely. I had the 10m DL out yesterday for the first time and it has many of the attributes of the Speed 3, great glide and that magical foil float. Rock solid is what I would call it. Even in the hands of a beginner this kite is good, but ...

Re: Speed 4 questions

Norwind, yes that is it, so stable in higher winds, I feel that the development of the leading edge supports from Gin are helping that a great deal. I will receive the the 10m deluxe tomorrow, really looking forward to flying it against the 8m deluxe. I never thought I would invest in deluxe over st...

Re: Speed 4 questions

Agreed, I have been flying the new Speed 4 8m deluxe (THE LIGHTEST KITE IN THE WORLD?) for about 25 hours now mainly on the low end of the scale but boy it is quite a kite. I have had several FS kites and love the Speed 3 12m and 15m. Definitely has more traction than Psycho 4 of the same size and t...

Re: Hip replacement and still kitesurfing

Mee too! I had resurfacing and it changed my life, in fact I could never kite before doing it 4 years ago but now I kite 150 days a year, summer winter! I Have to try real hard to remember which one I resurfaced. The Birmingham Hip is what I received, the originator of the procedure. This for me was...

Re: Flysurfer Speed 4 - 8.0 & 10.0 review

Wow, just received my Speed 4 8m deluxe and the most noticeable difference to me in design is the leading edge, I guess it really is an SLE now. the Gin/ Spleene inserts on the leading edge make this kite rock solid in shape and I was surprised at the pull in almost non existent winds. I was just st...

Re: North Kontact, what size ?

I just bought the 5 11 Kontact in Maui and it was awesome. I had 10 days on it at Kitebeach last week. I am 90 g and 5 9. I loved this board, so much fun for powered riding. I ride mainly inland lakes and this is a chop eater and fun on waves and fast! Could not be any happier. I got the 2012 for 65...
