Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Looks like a perfect afternoon, thanks for sharing that. I think I need to snag a big floaty foil kite for my quiver...I can't seem to stop watching the Flysurfer Soul kite videos from Europe and yours certainly had the float. Did you reach that spot from the launch at the south end of Lake Dillion?...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Matt, wish I could check "Miramaui" out with you guys...just a little too far. Scott, do you guys park close to the Marina? I can't remember if that site is park-n-ride friendly. Probably can't get over there until friday or saturday but give a shout if you go, would love to see Taylor when it's on!

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

That Miramonte session looks amazing!! Thanks for those shots and Glickster, that terrain is next level, much respect. I wish I lived a little closer to these hot spots at time. I think a splitboard is in order if I want to access some of this stuff as I'm trying to resist buying a snowmobile. Justi...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Post edited above. A little clarification on my behalf about the public whipping regarding the prior session at the undisclosed location if I may. Yes, I plead guilty to missing the signage on the lake shore. We stopped the car and I skimmed the rules in a hurry and missed it. I'm sorry fellow kiter...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

Huge session yesterday in South Park. I rolled up to an undisclosed location at noon with new kiterJosh Holmes and there were half a dozen people out under blue skies. At one point, I think I counted 10 people with kites having fun in the fresh stuff....never seen anything like it. Josh from Montros...

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

CPerkins and I scored nicely on the shores in South Park last friday. Snow was a little windswept and crusty but coverage on the hills around the valley was pretty good and this week is going to be better. I think there is a lot more terrain available out there to ride compared to Blue Mesa, Twin La...

Re: When is "Big" too big?

Oh man, if I don't get a chance to ride some terrain like that and do those kind of glides at least once in my lifetime, I'm going to feel incomplete. That is exactly what I'd like to be doing with this sport right now. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Kite-o-rado Snowkite Conditions

I have a friend in Montrose that just took a lesson there Sunday and he said about 7 people were out so yes, I would assume it's on. Get some!

Re: Telluride Snowkite Help

Not sure if you are any where close to Salida on your way there but I've got a DaKine seat harness you could borrow for your trip. I can pm you my number if you're interested.

Chris
