Re: Ozone Chrono V2 vs Hyperlink

You may consider what kind of riding you plan on doing with this kite. Low end will be quite similar unless you get UL version of chrono. Chrono should give you more top end speed and slightly better upwind/downwind, perhaps more hang time. HL is better for fun riding, turns and jumps with almost fo...

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

What size of pocket board? I rode it with my DIY 110 x 46cm, 3.5 cm thick board. Works fine just like any other foil. Now I use Levitaz Exo that is little bigger at 125 x 43 x 4. Riding Spit for a first time with standard wings may feel a bit more difficult to make foot switch on because of its soft...

Re: Tip of Foil Breaching Surface

Breaching is not a good idea. You can get away with some but not often. Are you sure you only poke a tip? I crashed often in bigger chop in the beginning before I got more experience, stopped slowing down too much and got better and maintaining correct depth. How tall is your mast?

Re: Zeeko Spitfire Hydrofoil

I've been riding with XLW wings for few days on flat water and my impressions are very positive so far. While there is an increase in drag, speed is still very good. This was a concern to me before buying them, so I'm very pleased with the result. On a good side, just about all maneuvers became noti...

Re: Tacking advice for a newb

as Peter said. both duck and roll tacks are made facing nose of the board. duck tack is the term that was commonly used with this type of tack on surfboard. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNVF9MCsYrs roll tack seems to come from racing boards with two front straps that made the whole thing more flu...

Re: Kite quandary, any input appreciated!

Yeah, I'm normally on 6m Edge in 13. This was a day when wind picked up and I did not have time to switch. So I tested how far I can take it. I was not comfortable making jibes in tight space. Hang time was great

Re: Kite quandary, any input appreciated!

I'm thinking about replacing my North Mono 12 with a Ozone hyperlink 12. I'll keep my Mono 9 & 7. I use my Mono 12 a lot, but also want to get more out of higher end without the flapping. They say the hyperlink depowers without losing shape or stability, giving it incredible high end. I'd not go to...

I thought we were talking about cheap knock off. I DO get your point, I just think this is not the right case for it
