Re: Multiple kites or multiple bars

Both change in kitesize and line length change timing. The change to slower turnig of a bigger kite is more intuitive for me. For example very short lines mean a very fast change in angle meaning waterstart is more challenging. Long lines have a slower pendulum effect when jumping. I prefer changing...

Re: Flysurfer Soul

Total weight of five zips/ velcroe/ net is located at the leading edge and that is the reason of HL dive in light air Tadeusz I'm with KiteExpert on this one. The Hyperlink is balanced well in weight. Aerodynamics have a much bigger role and FS can demonstrate experimentally with Soul and older kit...

Re: Hyperlink size recommedation

Wow that is light! Do you know if the cloth is ripstop nylon or ripstop polyester?

Also just a consideration: it will fly great on 25m lines, but there is a 20% length difference between 25m and the 30m line I am using to get max low end.

Re: Mutants for stupid conditions!

I've been having fun with the Liquid Force Space Craft. Works pretty good in either direction, but favors the pointy end. I applied some yellow tape so I can spot on the water. http://i65.tinypic.com/29234tv.jpg If you took the pads off that SpaceCraft would the straps be symmetric? Or does a rider...

Re: My first long swim

Hyperlink as a foil kite is pretty intuitive. Maybe fly it on the beach for 20 min especially in stupidly light wind. Consider practicing water relaunch deliberately. One pro tip for water launch is not to pull water into the kite by pulling the back lines if it's trailing edge down or the front lin...

Re: new bar grip

I've done Prince tennis grip and hockey stick mesh tape. The tennis grip is a really nice comfey chamois feel and has held up quite well except for the little sticker used to terminate the grip. The hockey stick mesh looks ghetto. Little strings peel off it. The feeling is much more harsh. But I hav...

Re: 3 line front line - strength?

Early lines were not that strong. But if I remember correctly the Psycho2 had a line upgrade after some front line failures. I believe the failures occurred when activating the roto-leash. And I believe they were associated with many other simultaneous bridle failures. When those reports came, I cha...

Re: My first long swim

Glad to hear all ended well TomW! I'm curious to know what kind of kite the rescuer had that was still in the air? Also, could the tube kite realistically be used as a sail to pull back to shore? My 9 Hyperlink pulls and relaunches in wind where my 9 Ultra will do neither. Yes I have found condition...
