Re: Deal on Airush ultra vs. Naish Boxer

I have Boxer 6,7,8 that I bought mostly for my kids to learn to ride. Also Ultra 9 for me to ride waves and hydrofoil. Both are good kites. I have ridden the Ultra more than the Boxers, but mostly like and ride foil kites. For me, riding foil 70%, surf 25% and TT 5%, I choose my foil kites every tim...

Thumbs down, slack lines. Also important works for launcher e.g. if they find a wrapped bridle.

Re: Flysurfer hard/soft steering line question

What would happen if you were to remove the hard/soft steering line altogether? From my understanding the steering would be full soft? Is that correct? Or would it be full hard? (Unfortunately that conection I don't actually understand). Thanks for the insights Full soft and a possibility of backst...

Re: Ozone Reo 5m what a mess!!!

I've had small kites with a tendency to backstall on the normal bar. Can be worse and more noticable on a small kite for example if your rear bar lines have shortened. I found putting a small pigtail to extend the rear attachment did well. Shorter lines and also shorter bar may make a difference, as...

Re: Is directional more fun than door in LW?

Both are fun in different ways. If there is seaweed or very shallow flats, then the door. If choppy or upwind performance is a priority then the Sector/Raceboard. Don't forget Alaia or skim boards as options.

Re: HyperLink 7m vs Soul 6m - wave performancep

My recommendation remains: put the PMA back to normal and shorten C by 0.5-1 cm and fly the kite at least 20 hours. Oversheeting is great for kite control in most situations, you can even fly kites backwards while on waves. I wonder if oversheeting is a remedy for evry kite position? If it’s flying ...

Re: FS Speed5 - not getting on with it

Speeds like speed. You can make that 12 work in 12-16 but you have to ride fast. As many have said a bigger and specifically faster board is a must. If it’s choppy you may not be able to do it with out a race board or hydrofoil. In lulls it’s very important to maintain airspeed and not choke the kit...

Re: Used beginner foil kites

Interesting review. I could ask why you didn't like the kite, but I can see the performance wasn't enough for you. Your original idea to shorten BC would have just made performance worse. You might imagine I tried a few simple things to improve. Very easy to shorten C or Z using the Lecca Lecca ins...
