Re: High boosting kites

08 and 09 Best Nemesis, even those that don't like Best will commonly admit these are some of the biggest boosting kites ever. Esp the 10m.

Just not (in my opinion) the 2010 Neme, this went down a different track....

Re: Learning in Cabarete and Board Leashes ?!!!!

I taught in Cabarete for about 18 months. As far as I am aware every school uses kite leashes. The spots are crowded and the water is deep. Though I insisted all my students demonstrated an ability to drag up wind before board starts if students were forced to drag back to their board after every fa...

Re: Important safety discussion: Launching and Landing

One hand in the center is the way to go. I can't stand when I see beginners walking backwards with both hands at the ends of the bar looking up at the kite. What happens when they trip over something, fall and take a hand off the bar to break their fall? Kite loops uncontrollably and they get launc...

Re: Important safety discussion: Launching and Landing

I teach my students that the downwind setup is the safest way because it’s a lot harder to make a mistake when rigging and it’s very easy to check. Another important factor is that the kite and/or bar have to be moved to bring the kite into the window rather than out of it. I see kites launched deep...

Re: Any Harnesess recommendation?

Liquid Force I haven't really enjoyed the Liquid Force kites or boards I've ridden but loved the Luxury Waist Harness. Used my last one for 2 years and it still had life in it when I lost weight and had to replace it. They weren't available where I am but it's on the shopping list again now. I found...

Modified Politically Correct Cabrinha Ad.jpg

It just doesn't have the same ring to it really.....

I don't work for Cabrinha or even fly their kites but I hope they approve, they'll get the credit either way I'm sure!

Re: Who has the right of way on a wave?

@ hombrekiteloop Defining what is a wave, good point. Along the same line, safety, a wave that makes it important that you have ROW is: 4 ft and higher and going to break on you if you have to change your course. Your point that the wave rider chose to ride the wave (as in chose to jump) is not val...
