Fuerteventura Sotavento in June? kite & wetsuit advice...

Hello, i'll be in Sotavento in June Ideally, i would like to travel with only 2 kites and TT, but i'm not sure if i should take 6 and 9 or 9 and 12m :-? Rene Egly's website lists june as mostly > F4 (over 16kts) which sounds like using the 9 most of the time. Is windguru accurate for Sotavento, or a...

Varial 2011 and 5 lines bar?

Hi, Could anyone comment on using a 5 lines bar on a Airush Varial 6m 2011? I know it can (should?) be used with 4 lines, but the bar for my other kites is 5 lines. In addition, i use the 6m when it's really strong so i wouldn't mind having the peace of mind of a 5th line... The manual seems to be t...

Re: Lithium Quiver Help

@youtch: you're right! there are a bunch of lithium in castelldefels. I kite pretty much on all the coast of catalunya, depending on the wind... BTW, I start to see quite a lot of ozone kites as well @coyoteface: don't forget that shorter lines will only affect the power during the stroke or sining....

Re: Lithium Quiver Help

I've been riding the 2010 Lithium 12m and 8m happily for the past 2 years. I weigh 75kg and ride mostly a twintip. I like a 'park & ride' kite that pulls. They're great kites and the 4m difference between them is ok. A friend of mine also has the 10m lithium and there are days when i wouldn't mind h...

Re: Best light wind board?

Airush sector 60 for me...
A bit of a learning curve to jibe but fairly easy compared to other race boards

A lot of fun and you pretty much ride as soon as your kite flies :thumb:

Re: Eletric Kite Inflation

In other news.... Here is the best of three new Scoprega kite pump models becoming available now- much lighter weight and reliable than before. Just picked mine up yesterday. Great to have the battery not hidden inside the pump anymore. Have you tried it yet? it looks like it takes a lot longer tha...

Brilliant! Thanks for the link

Do you have any experience with the split board? Do they feel different to a normal board? Any idea how much weight the split system adds?

split or inflatable freerace board for light wind?

I have a Sector 60 that i take to the beach when the wind forecast is not superstrong, but it is such a pain to carry and kind of defeats the 'portability' aspect of kiting... But having fun and crusing at speed sure beats sitting on the beach waiting all afternoon for the wind to increase 2 more kn...
