Re: RRD obsession 2012 and 2013....

I would have to disagree with some of the posts saying the 2012 Obsession sits deep in the wind window. Granted everyone has their own opinions, and perhaps it comes down to kite tuning as well. When someone first gets their RRD bar, they might not get the info that normally the trim line needs to b...

Re: Best Kahoona x North Evo

When someone says the relaunch in Kahoona sucks you know they are bullshitting big time :nono: OK chief, I'm bull shitting. Just trying to give some input on what I have seen out of these kites. from various years and sizes. I flew the evo 9 today for a bit after fixing an inversion for a student. ...

Re: Best Kahoona x North Evo

Either year, I would pick the evo. I've seen a ridiculous amount of bridle wraps on the kahoonas, 2013, 2014, and 2015. I find the relaunch sucks, and if the kite slams or rolls funny, it does not reopen easily or at all sometimes. I've heard it has changed a lot of the years, I've only flown smalle...

Re: Mystic Drysuit??? who has experience with this thing?

I'm 5'11" 140lbs, with long arms. I wear a medium wetsuit and thought I might need a large drysuit. The mystic distributer told me to get the medium so I did and it fits perfect. I hope that can give you some reference at least.

Re: Mystic Drysuit??? who has experience with this thing?

I picked up the mystic vulcanic drysuit in March and taught many lessons in NY in it. I wear next to nothing under it, compression shorts and a t shirt, or dry ride shirt. Everyone else out riding or teaching were freezing in their 6/5/4 full hoods. I was sweating but staying warm. I'm used to layer...

Re: Magically folding a kite like new?

There are lots of different ways to fold kites and the key is definitely getting the air out. Rectangular folds make for great flat packs as one previous poster recommended. I pack anywhere from 5-10 kites everyday at the shop I work at. My morning routine is to pack down all the school kites that w...

Anyone know if the ids line is the same length from 2011 to 2012? Im pretty sure it is but i havent found info online to be sure and would like a second opinion about it. Gotta replace a 2012 line asap and can only find a 2011 locally

Re: RRD replacement hoses

I concur. I have 2012s that have seen a lot of use and no signs of any wear. Check under the elastic and see if the tips of the hoses are cracked at all in addition to the rest of the hoses. Mine have been through various temperatures and conditions. Including multiple freezing sessions.

Re: Beginner Schools - North Carolina vs Texas

It's still cold on OBX but it's been windy almost every single day no. About 60% of the time it's been NE or E. The other days there have been some good North, NW and Southwest flows. Get at least a 4/3 suit, 5 mil booties and 2 mil gloves and a beanie, youll be warm enough.

Re: Safe student launch?

On land practice seapping the chicken loop between students. Student to student if you have a few. Most focus directly on the chicken loop amd leash and dont just go for the bar. Especially if not touching the bar until you affirm that they are allowed to is reiterated. The ones that do in practice ...
