Re: Turks and Caicos: July Wind Stats - Question...

I was there in July 2012 and had wind everyday. I rode my 12m or 9m. Was solid wind for the week.

I'm looking at booking this july just not sure yet, where to stay. Any suggestions?
I tried northwest point resort last time but the drive from the resort to the beaches is a bit of a pain. :)

If you're thinking Colombia, check out Lago Calima.

Re: The best wheels for kitesurfing?

I'm in the great lakes region as well. I have a Honda FiT. Is great on gas and "Fits" all my gear.

You lose the back seats though.

For even better gas mileage, get a diesel vehicle :)

Re: Getting a new used kite..

@Hubbs You can probably afford a new kite if you purchase online direct via Switchkites. As others have mentioned, it will might be cheaper than current close-out prices! Check out the website and see if you can demo one closeby. For light wind, the 14m or 16m Nitro V2 is great to get you going in l...

Re: Switch Kites: are they any good?

Demo the Switch kites and see what you think. That's the best thing. IMO, Switch kites have an excellent build and the inflate valve is great (similar valve to Cabrinha). I fly the Switch Nitros. The control bar needs some minor improvements and a bit more polish. Other than that Switch is a great b...

Re: Kiting New Brunswick - Acadian Islands - Shippagan

I was there last summer at the end of August. Lots of wind and you'll definitely need atleast a shortly or full wetsuit but an excellent spot. Lots of riding available in the flat water pool and on other areas close by.. We stayed in one of the houses Eric Girard rented out. He had a kiteschool (Clu...
