For 2018 North Kiteboarding has a rope-specific chicken loop with a steel wrapped center section to minimize wear. -Dan The rope will wear very quickly if you go...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Faxie, very much looking forward to your review, no pressure of course! Ofcourse :P Even if I feel it's the best kite I've ever flown, I still stand by the argument that it should be that way without the pulleys, or at least not 3 of them. I'm not gonna try a bridle wrap tomorrow, but I'll give it ...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

@mr_daruman, thanks for your post - sounds to me like your still missing your old E5,s lol. Keep us posted, especially if you get some decent conditions to test the drift & compare to E5. Re: RE vs C1

Thanks for the replies, I'll try some on & start from there - I had a look at not sure if 2016 or 17 RE & thought the travel on the slider was limited compared to dyna/Dakine.
Looks like this might have been improved for 2018?

Cheers, top

Has anyone used both the RE & C1 and can offer an opinion on why they would buy one over the other. ? For me, features to look for are: Comfortable Easy to get in/out Light weight No pr...

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

IMO pulleys don't often break but do need to be maintained...but in saying that I've had kites with 6 pulleys that were great & didnt have any pulley issues.

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

Tbh, the customer service is what keeps me on Switch kites...I had a major issue with my well used, over 1 year old E5.

Switch sent me a new 10m E5 :D

Re: Are Switch kites getting any better?

The Helium 3 is coming out soon ... I'm hoping the smaller sizes might make a good light wind wave kite.

Hopefully it remains a 3 strut / no pulley kite.
