Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a ram air lover

Here's another vid... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzwAvxtq1BQ this was last week in Brand Bay - Ireland. We didn't have the 12 with us (sold out in the UK again) but did have the 9 and 7 - this vid was shot on the 9. Rider is Mark Shinn. He's not officially tied to Blade anymore, and for all foi...

Re: Airush Union III: Throw Loops, Throw Spray, & Throw It Down

Couple of words that may help :-) The bar is neater - yup - you need a tool now, but you know, I didn't adjust the bar at all last year - best to disassemble and clean to stop it clogging every few months - but most people don't touch the bar length. 14m+ may need the bigger bar, but it flies fine w...

Re: Airush Union III: Throw Loops, Throw Spray, & Throw It Down

I currently ride a 9M 2014 Varial X. Im well overdue to changing my kite, I love how it rides, but its starting to show its years and Im considering the Union. Like you, I've ridden unions mainstream since 2014, with a dabble on razors for half a season.. The 2014 was a good year to those who can r...

Re: The New Airush Lithium Series - The World Favorite Freeride Kite

I think it's a lovely video, makes me want to kite... The Lithium is one of those kites that has evolved around those who love it over many years - it's consistently one of our best sellers in the UK, year after year. If your pushing the sport in terms of aggressive riding then it's relevant to the ...

Re: Airush Ultra: one strut kite that meets expectations of a foilkite fan

I've been using the 9 a lot - mostly as I sold my 12 to a client and we are waiting for more - mine is on the waiting list - They sold out europe wide and it takes a while for the production to catch up... I'm not saying this to aid promotion - but most importers were cautious at the start of the se...

Re: Airush Union III: Throw Loops, Throw Spray, & Throw It Down

Kites can sometimes have frame stability issues when you've pushed them to the front of the window and unloaded the back lines - the canopy tension goes and the stability of the kite relies more and more on the frame. Though the years I've had kites that i would say have never bitten me, (those days...

Re: Airush Union III: Throw Loops, Throw Spray, & Throw It Down

One things that I always wonder is why (once you are at a decent riding standard) no one ever talks about the kites suitability to certain weight groups. I mean an expert at 65kg has a completely different kite choice to an expert who is 105kg. Anyway - that's a completely different discussion. For ...

Re: Airush Union 2017

Boosting on 2017 was good - very easy infact. Not many holes you can dig with them. Like lithium but sharper and higher, without any potential probs.. It's a great kite. And yes - on offer it's a good buy. 2018 is different - a bit more piloting required, so more technical than lithium. I'd also say...

Re: Airush Union III: Throw Loops, Throw Spray, & Throw It Down

I'm another UK rider - as like John above we've had the Union for a month or so, Kiteworld have had a 9 for a good few weeks to - test coming out in the new issue. But Just thought I would add what we've (myself and some of our riders) found in our first few sessions with the 9 and 12. I know that t...

Re: Airush Union 2017

Hi Chap, The 2017 is a really nice bit of kit. 2016 was quite light in the hands and felw best with a light touch, as such it was quite a way from the Lithium in turns of feel. 2017 is tighter, but requires a firmer hand and as such it's very much like a Lithium but on steroids. It's a great kite fo...
