Re: The new 2014 14m Park is money

Good to hear 2014 14m has improved Grunt over the 2013 but i wonder if that's just the feeling due to direct bridle??? if you are finding it slower to loop are you also finding it slower to turn than the 2013 which i have???? are you possibly choking the kite a bit on the loop??? maybe try letting t...

Re: Kiter dies in NYC - Plumb Beach

Really sorry to hear this sad news, we had a recent tragedy at my local involving an experienced kiter and it has reinforced to me that given a series of unfortunate circumstances this can happen to any of us. Take care and if you're not comfortable with the conditions sit it out until your next ses...

Re: Naish Park 2014 review

nick14 how'd you go with your kite?? i'd like to see photos of separated strut. Very unusual.
I've been riding Naish's for 5 years and never had problems and never had a reason to jump on a forum and bag the kites with my first couple of posts................just saying. Troll???

Re: So... whose watching the america's cup races?

It has shaped up to be a great regatta with a new style of close format high speed racing that i'm enjoying watching and want it to continue a little longer but it's time for Team NZ to wrap this baby up. Hats off to team oracle for not throwing in the towel, it shows guts, determination & good sail...

Re: Naish Park 2014

Xray it took me a bit to get the knack of drifting the park when riding waves but once you've got it it's sweet. Powered turns haven't been an issue for me.

I had a short ride on a demo 2014 and was happy enough that i'll be trading at least 1 kite up to the new model this season.

Re: Any news on 2014 Parks?

I had a brief session on the 2014 8m Park this afternoon kiting in a winter storm front with moderate surf. As brief as my session was i give the new park a thumbs up for direct feel & response due in large i guess to no pulleys. The new bar is an improvement, the kite is stable, didn't feel more po...

Re: Naish Draft 2013

I should've said the racing is open ocean on surfboards or similar not race boards at this stage & i'm looking to supplement my quiver not replace it so i'll most likely keep my 8,10,14 parks & use the Draft's/Edges when i want grunt & ball tearing speed.

Re: Naish Draft 2013

Thanks for the input guys. Weight will be reduced but a 10m is a good size for a bigger rider in my locale & a grunty 13m covers me for light wind days & when i want to ride absolutely fully lit which in WA Australia is the modus operandi. Good to hear you are enjoying the kites Lander. I currently ...
