Re: Getting back to kitesurfing - after 8 years break. How about equipment?

if not used and stored properly your kites and lines should be fine. As said above I would replace the control bar. The old best control bar was a mini-5th and all modern kites now require a single line flagging control bar so you will need a new control bar no matter what when you buy another kite....

Re: Impact vest with pockets

Take it to a tailor, shouldn't cost too much to add pockets, $25-$50. Make sure when you get this done you tell him or her to use polyester thread.

It's a sin not to try that Pansh Genesis for $200, lol. I'll give it a shot and if it doesn't work well, I'll have a nice blanket!

best foil kite for gusty conditions

Right now I tend to use a 10m Envy in those condi...

Re: Ice Kiteboard

oh I like those ropes! I added some elastic to them so they don't droop. I was using a little bit of wood for stoppers. ps to solve the grip problem I adjusted the mounting angle of the iceblades (instead of 45 degrees I mount them at 15 or 20 degrees).

Re: Sand / water / aqua socks to wear inside boots

Just talked with a friend who has the shredtown boots. he is giving them up. They are almost impossible to put on in the water because of how stiff they are (no different from hyperlite there in difficult for putting on in the water). Secondly while I guess they seem great at the wakepark while kite...

Re: board - how to MacGyver connection?

Seems like an adapter plate is your best bet. Take a piece of 1/4 inch aluminum, drill two sets of holes, one with the small mounting size and one with the larger holes, fix the various bolts so that everything works. One set of bolts will go into the board, another set of bolts will face out from t...
