Re: Powered kiteloop, fronthand not staying on bar.

You want to be able to do kiteloops with just one hand so you can do grabs on your loop. Nose or crab grabs look nice. I understand with both hands on the bar you can get the kite lower, but I would rather have a nice grab than get the kite lower.

Re: Havent been kiting for over a month..... Dont care!

The worst part of about mountain biking is if you crash there's a good chance for an injury that prevents you from kiteboarding. But if you have given up kiting I guess that's ok? I have no idea why anyone would mountain bike and kiteboard. The mountain biking is pretty risky and that's the only rea...

Re: Powered kiteloop, fronthand not staying on bar.

I usually "fishpole" the bar in a kiteloop unless I'm doing a drag or grab or something like that. I put both hands on the rear part of the bar. There's no reason you actually need to put your hand on the front part of the bar in a kiteloop. Keep doing what you are doing

Re: Flying an IDS kite (two line safety) using one line safety bar

Cabrinha like most kite companies never "cross dress" by this I mean they never test kites and control bars that weren't designed together. So it won't show up in the spreadsheet as "working". It wasn't designed to work and they never tested it so yeah it's up to the customer to go out of spec and f...

Re: Flying an IDS kite (two line safety) using one line safety bar

Should be fine. Try it in light wind conditions first, but I suggest doing that for all control bars, just to see what happens.

Re: Italian Kitesurfer dies in Brazil

It's hard to punch out while you get lofted. So if the wind is 70 knots that means in 1 second you are almost 40 meters in the air. It's nearly impossible to go from just riding around not suspecting anything, feel the power of the kite lift you and be able to punch out in milliseconds. You must pun...

Interesting theory, edt. I'm inclined to believe you. So what side do you tape the kite? Inside or out?
doesn't matter.

Re: Small tear in kite

You should never use both sides, only use one side for sail tape for a canopy repair. It is more than strong enough to match the strength of the canopy and the extra tape makes the canopy too stiff in that one section so when it flaps, it will wear just outside the repair area. For holes less than a...
