Re: Fatality in France

Remember the best signal that you don't want a launch is to remove your chicken loop and release your leash. A terrible accident.

Re: Fatality in France

Simple question: is it worth putting up that risk for a fighting, cold and no tricks session in 40 knots, where the chance of an injury or even fatality is pretty high? Yes. Re: Pivot vs Enduro

No... the octopus system can be repaired by anyone. I really like the internal octopus system, all you need is some PTFE tape and nimble hands. I would not consider the octopus system a negative. Anyone can repair it, like Billy said above. The problem is if you send it out for someone else to repa...

Re: Pivot vs Enduro

Thanks for the responses. I realize both are do- all kites with some wave ability but not pure wave. At one time I took all my kites, pu...

Re: Pivot vs Enduro

Neither the pivot or Enduro is meant to be a wave kite, what they excel at is doing fast powered turns, so for instance, kite loops, hand drags, megaloops, both kites catch you very well and both loop very fast. The Enduro pulls a bit harder in the turns, and the pivot is probably the highest jumpin...

Usually it's about walking out less than line-length, depending on wind direction, so I can still stand and kite can float when it drifts all the way.
Yeah can't do that when there's too much seaweed tho.

Re: How to self launch a kite

The best thing about this video is how short it is, covers the main launches. You don't want a 30 minute video on self launch nobody will watch it. They should cut out the old style launch the only reason people used to launch that way is because a lot of the old C kites couldn't tether launch, espe...
