Re: Bar recommendations

@Macster: i can't tell you as it depend on the AR of the kite, best thing is to try it in LW like we did on larger size foil kites like Diablo and Sonic kites from 11 to 18m size.

Re: Bar recommendations

The Core Sensor 2 is now a single safety flagging line just like the Flysurfer infinity 3.0. Did you know this and are you speaking from experience i.e. you tried it and it didnt work? Thanks It is not a regular front line safety system. Their system is different and is almost mid point between a t...

Re: Bar recommendations

I'm using the Core Sensor 2S with my 18m Soul. It works fine despite at 54cm being shorter than the recommended 60cm for the 18m. Sorry but even if i love it, the Core Sensor2 bar is in fact not suitable to ride with a high aspect foil kite like the Soul. You just can't securely flag the kite with ...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

I am buying one (an ultralight Kitech FRS 12 m2), to see if I can move my marginal low end - we'll have to see if it does or dont :thumb: 8) PF 27g material? I love my 12m but yes it would benefit from a lighter material in the 12/15/18m range. I like it so much that i am leaning toward a 9m or 6m ...

Re: Marginal wind kites ?

Kitech FRS 12m is 5.2 AR. As Peter said: "And again, some will choose the biggest possible kite, others will choose a sufficiently big kite to obtain their personal marginal wind target - but still have both more upper end and more turning ability/fun." I am in the second camp as for now and really ...

Re: Shinn el Stubbo Zeeko Aluminium 90cm Hydrofoil

I did learn on that exact setup last year during a trip to Cuba. In fact it's exactly a year ago (i just came back again from Cuba). It took me about 3-4hrs to be able to foil on the Zeeko/90cm with El Stubbo. It was in perfect conditions which help tremendously. For example, my friend tried the sam...

Re: concept air pulsion

You can't use any bar with foil kites. First, you need a single front line security. And second, not all security system are ok with foil kites. For example a Core Sensor2 bar does not work with the Pulsion because when you flag the kite there is still some residual pull in the kite. Best to try you...

Re: Who is an ambidextrous foiler?

I am as good or as bad on both side :) TT, surf or hydrofoil i feel no difference. Turning to toe side or heel side, riding toe side, jumping, wave catching, etc.... To be honest and strangely there is one move that i do only in one side and this is riding blind on a TT but since i only do HF now i ...

Re: What is your HF kite quiver?

Freeriding with my Shinn Jackson 145 and F wing 90cm mast

Little Cloud Pelican 13m: 7-12 knots
Core XR5 8m: 12-22 knots
Core GTS4 6m: 18-26 knots

I also use sometimes my XR5 11m but i prefer the 8m most of the time.
