Re: Leonardo DiCaprio learns kiteboarding

Busurf has been teaching kiting since the beginning of the sport here in SoCal. He has been on the forefront trying to keep access open for all. He was a lifeguard and helped mend broken bridges between the kiters and the lifeguards. This flaming is completely ridiculous. This sport really has becom...

Re: Is Kiteboarding a good workout?

personally I don't think its much of a workout at all but I suppose its a matter of perspective in regards to what you do. I run marathons and cycle a lot so in my opinion kiting is not much of a workout at all. I guess if you don't do much or anything else then its probably ok and for sure better t...

Re: Predictions for Ram Airs in 2015

If the wind is too light for the kite to relaunch i think i prefer a foil kite that can be easily packed up for the swim in. I guess its personal preference though not me, I would rather have a blown up tube that holds air. Back around 2002ish I had the pleasure of swimming in with a ram air kite a...

You can use the tape it came with. Clean canopy with isopropyl alcohol on both sides. Cut 2 pieces of tape and round the corners. Stick on both sides of canopy. Give it some time for the adhesive to cure. You will be good as gold.

Re: Best time to visit US west coast for kitesurfing

I used to own a 25m back in the day with a underground magic carpet. A few years ago I bought a flysurfer 21 which I quickly sold because mowing the lawn is boring. So I do understand. if you want to stay then stay but more than likely you will not kite. Many of the ikite sensors read high or low de...

Re: Best time to visit US west coast for kitesurfing

Hello What about the period Oct to Dec? is there any wind? which would be the best spots? -the warmer water, the better- I'm planning a trip to Hawaii next year and I would make a stop in LA for about one month to explore the best kitesurfing areas, if it is worth. About sizes, I use to travel with...
