I'm going up there for a ski trip in a few days and wondering if there is anywhere to ride near Alyeska resort where I'm staying or near Anchorage itself. I know there's some sick kiting at Thompson Pass but that's like a 5 hour drive...

That sounds great if you are visiting, How bout if you live heare and like my self and several other locals wanted to ride each day. Thats 20 bones a day for 7 Days 140 a week. You realize you're posting in a thread titled "utah snowkiting 2/14-2/21" where someone is asking about a good spot to rid...

I really don't understand how $20 is a lot of money to ride in a spot that has ski patrol. For lesson purposes the spot is really good IMO. Not to mention the snowkite pass allows you to ride the lifts on that part of the mountain (hidden lake express), so I actually get in a bunch of nice powder sk...

I just spent 3 days kiting with an excellent instructor at Powder Mountain. This is an awesome spot with a large area for snowkiting only (no regular skiiers/boarders allowed). Tons of soft cushy surfy pow, great instruction, tons of other things to do, what more can you ask for. Wind was about 15-2...

actually the thing i made is a line mount, goes right above your trim strap on your bar... what it will damage if something bad happens is your face!

all those extensions are going to be a pain in the A** when you have to go walk out your lines...

My friend broke both back lines during a jump - they were sleeved.

I broke a center power line AND my chicken loop just mowing the lawn lit out of my mind... also sleeved.


I can only imagine how quickly unsleeved lines would have broken in the same situation

I thought the whole point of a trainer kite is to show beginners how to fly a kite without the complexity of a 4 line bar.... if you want to fly 4 line use a 4 meter or 5 meter LEI as a trainer
